Orange reset arrow (what it really means)
The orange circular arrow means you changed a value away from its baseline. The baseline depends on how the model was opened.
- The arrow is informational — it does not mean you permanently changed global defaults.
- Clicking the arrow resets to the current baseline (profile or designer project), not “whatever you remember.”
Key rule (locked)
Designer settings only exist when you open a 3MF and allow settings to be imported. Everything else is geometry + your active profiles.

- 3MF (settings included): baseline = designer project overrides
- STL: baseline = your active profiles
- 3MF (geometry only): baseline = your active profiles

Cooling thresholds (fan settings) in plain English
These settings are driven by layer time. If your layer isn’t short enough, the cap never triggers.
Min fan speed threshold (often irrelevant)
Example: Fan 100% at 100s. This only applies if a layer takes 100 seconds or longer. Many real layers won’t be that long.
Max fan speed threshold (usually the one that matters)
Example: Fan capped at 30% at 8s. If a layer prints in 8 seconds or less, the fan won’t exceed 30%.
